TxtEdit is a editor for text or Rich text files.

It includes a spell checker.
TxtEdit includes a send to - feature, which is useful to have a quick view on many different file formats. Start the Explorer, right click any file, and choose TxtEdit under send to!
A task bar allows to switch quickly from one document to another.
You may use TxtEdit as Editor for your HTML, Perl or PHP files.
You can insert tags with one click taken from a freely customisable list.
You can edit columns.
A multiple clip board is available.
Sort lines, join lines and more functions available.
For rich text files, many formatting possibilities and inserting pictures are supported.
Unicode is supported. Other character sets using 8 bit encoding (ANSI) are supported as well. You may choose the language, you want to open or save a text file for.
Jump to any line with one click.
You can open an active document with any other application by one button click!
A page preview is provided.
You can switch the interface between English and German. More languages are supported.

Here, you find files for other languages (interface language files).

++ SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ++

TxtEdit runs under Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista or higher.
2.0 MB space available on hard disk.

++ SPELL CHECK DICTIONARIES ++

TxtEdit uses ISpell dictionaries installed with "ISpell - LS-Distribution". You find it on my web site under
http://www.luziusschneider.com/Speller/English/index.htm
Additionally, TxtEdit can use spell check dictionaries installed with MSOffice 95 or 97. For higher versions of MSOffice, only some languages will work.

++ INSTALLATION ++

Double - click the file TEInstal.exe. The program TxtEdit will be installed.
If you want to update a previous version, simply install the program into the already existing folder.

++ UNINSTALLATION ++

Choose under system|software|install/uninstall the program TxtEdit, and confirm "install/uninstall".
Most probably, there was some runtime data stored in your folder ....\TxtEdit\ Therefore the folder has not been deleted. You have to delete it manually. After a standard installation, you find it under C:\Program Files\TxtEdit\.
You have now completed the deinstallation.

++ LICENCE ++

TxtEdit is useable as Freeware or Shareware: For the first 30 days, it will run in shareware mode (trial period). Afterwards, you may continue using it free of charge and unlimited in FREEWARE mode (some functions are now disabled). To get back the full functionality, register TxtEdit by sending us US$ 20.--. You will then get your personal RegNo!

One registration permits you to install and operate TxtEdit on up to 5 computers belonging to one household or company.
